I paint portraits and abstracts, and make sketches of cute characters.
I use mostly watercolor, acrylic and pencil.
I am also a graphic designer, so I am well-versed in layout, printing and file set-up which comes in pretty handy. I've been working in one creative field or another for all of my adult life (which means almost 3 decades!), so I've got abundant experience and healthy perspective on my side.
- I never miss a deadline, and love repeat clients!
- I work with lovely brands and manufacturers to create fun, whimsical products.
- I work with thoughtful individuals to create watercolor mementos, and timeless art keepsakes.

Now, for human interest, and because my creative brain never shuts off, I'll add the following:
1) I like to bake over-the-top birthday cakes for my boys, and I'll obsessively/continually tweak my chocolate chip cookie recipe til it's the stuff of dang childhood legend! (this is to compensate for my really crummy cooking)
2) I like to problem-solve & dream up random DIY projects, then sketch furiously on legal pads to figure out the best way to bring them to life. And even though I have an impressive collection of my own tools, my husband helps "enthusiastically" because I really like having a partner in crime.
3) I like to make paintings & embroideries on fabric and turn them into magical clothes and toys for my little girl. She's developing a real love of arts & crafts and I'm here for it!
4) I like to PLAN. A. PARTY! ~ like, a LOT. I love making every detail suit the party person to an absolute T! No sleep around here on party eve!
In the past few decades, I've had a custom wedding gown studio, worked in graphic design, painted a kajillion portraits of people, pets, houses, weddings...... I've collaborated with awesome local businesses on logos, branding & labels. I've licensed my art for all sorts of products from housewares, to phone cases, to puzzles. I've also written, photographed, and illustrated a big old pile of books that teach about art, and taught classes online to encourage creativity.
It's definitely a lot going on. But I don't know if I'll ever narrow things down. Because it just makes me too happy to always feel that the sky's the limit.
