Works In Progress – texture on wood

Wood Bkgrnd1-WIP Everybody is full of spring fever! i sat in a sunny window yesterday and started daydreaming in color on a piece of lovely, grainy wood. Nothing better than that. This is a snapshot of the work in progress. Once the background is finished, i’ll be showing this board some layer-y love with other mediums and some collage. The only thing i can tell you for sure is that it will be bursting with happy color and texture when i finish.

yes, so far just pencil and pen…but i have a tendency to use everything but the kitchen sink before a piece is done. this one will get wood stain, acrylic and some cut paper i think…possibly some pastel : )

7 Ann Marie { 03.11.10 at 6:29 am }: I’ve admired your work for a while now, and I must say it is fun to see a piece in progress. I recently invested in a huge set of prisma markers for school and work, but really just want to doodle with them all day long.
