Works In Progress – texture on wood
Everybody is full of spring fever! i sat in a sunny window yesterday and started daydreaming in color on a piece of lovely, grainy wood. Nothing better than that. This is a snapshot of the work in progress. Once the background is finished, i’ll be showing this board some layer-y love with other mediums and some collage. The only thing i can tell you for sure is that it will be bursting with happy color and texture when i finish.

Hey Stephanie,
Fantastic! I love seeing your work in progress coming to life!
BTW, The two prints were FABULOUS, I am IN LOVE. Thank you so much for everything and I can’t wait to pick up some more beautiful designs of yours.
Love! Must be so fun to do ~envious of your awesome skills, girl!
thanks rosie and justine! it’s fun to share the early stages b/c my work really changes a LOT from start to finish most times. i’m so glad you like joining in on the journey!
Hi Stephanie! I got your name from Tara, she has been helping me out with my business plan. She said that we have a similar focus. I have to say, I had already been admiring your work. This looks super fun… did you just use pen and colored pencils?
hi wendy,
yes, so far just pencil and pen…but i have a tendency to use everything but the kitchen sink before a piece is done. this one will get wood stain, acrylic and some cut paper i think…possibly some pastel : )
Tara rocks!
Speechless. Drooling. Love!
I’ve admired your work for a while now, and I must say it is fun to see a piece in progress. I recently invested in a huge set of prisma markers for school and work, but really just want to doodle with them all day long.
