Score!!!
All my current commissions are surprises and secrets, so i thought i’d just post a super fun little pictorial of this weekend’s best scores. You know, when we really weren’t supposed to be shopping for ourselves?
i got these super comfy and cheerful pouf ottomans for a steal at my local HomeGoods (i couldn’t resist!) and my little guys LOVES them. They live in front of our couch, but we just photographed them in the kitchen so i didn’t have to cleanup all coop’s legos before i pointed and clicked. He likes to jump from couch, to pouf, to pouf like a frog and he calls them his lily pads. Ah imagination!

The second score is sorta sweet. If you know me, you know that i’m not a big jewelry girl. Precious jewelry that is. i love having drawerfuls of costume jewelry with little monetary value but lots of fun value! Anyway, when we were talking about getting engaged, i had told my husband in a million ways that i didn’t want him blowing a load of money on a ring. i wanted something modest, antique, sentimental, inexpensive…..”i dunno, get me a WOODEN ring!!” i said. And i meant it. i actually liked the idea. Nick said maybe he could whittle me one from a stick. “Keep an eye out for sticks the same diameter as your ring finger!” he said. It was funny. i was into it. Turns out i ended up with a lovely estate piece for my engagement ring, not wood. It is very teeny and pretty as can be and i love it.

But imagine me getting all misty when Nick sees this wood and metal men’s ring in a little shop in Phoenixville this weekend. He had to get it. i told him he can switch it out for his wedding band so that one of us actually HAS a wooden ring as a reminder of just how little we needed way back when and how all it was about, was being together.
awwwwwwwwww…………

I can picture your little boy jumping around the room…I hope he has a cape! And the story about the ring is so precious…My hubby would love a ring like that! He might actually wear it LOL
he doesn’t have a cape. he hasn’t hit a superhero obsession quite yet. and i know about the ring. he’s been wearing it of his own free will!! : )
