LAzy Sunday: linen sketch

Coop Linen Sketch

As i grow accustomed to blogging more consistently, i’ve been thinking hard about how i can keep up with interesting posts/features for you wonderful readers AND keep my sanity as i attempt to wear the many other hats we work-from-home moms, and otherwise busy modern women do. i thought a LAzy Sunday feature might be a nice, short & sweet way to end my weekend in a low-stress way, and would give me carte blanche to simply share a beautiful or meaningful image. i’d love your thoughts on this!

The above is a simple pencil sketch of my son that i did on a slubby, linen-type fabric which i then “upholstered” onto a wood board with soft padding and frayed edges. i have no idea what made me do this! My son calls it his “pillow picture” He rests his face on it sometimes! It’s an oddity, but precious to me just the same.

Lazy Sundays is a great idea for a post theme. I’ve been debating a weekend post myself – I lose readers on the weekend, and it’s often when I catch up on blogs, so why wouldn’t they be doing the same thing?!
And then I’m scrolling through your recent posts and thinking, what a well organized but super creative blog, and then saw that Tara helped you! Well of course!
I’ve also got her ebook, and it’s reminding me of so many important things.

I love it. It’s very subtle and angelic. I’m surprised it doesn’t rub off too, you must know what you’re doing : )

thanks for the nice comments!

thea, i used prismacolor pencils and pressed it off with a really hot iron and press cloth when i was done…but it doesn’t get a lot of wear and tear, so that’s helpful too : )
